Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

April Fool's Day

The girls had a little fun in the kitchen while the boys finished up the chores outside. Emily made her famous and delicious Panakeoken for breakfast but for some odd reason it came out of the oven a little green. Emily explained that she had accidentally cracked a rotten egg in the batter and could not get it out. The more she tried the more it mixed in. “But it’s all right,” Mama assured them, “We cooked it really well.”

Charlie has his doubts...

Sam begins to feel rather ill...
Ben watches to make sure no one is keeling over before he takes a bite... Aubrey's face is wonderfully sober.

Our neighbor, Mr. Berg, is over to taste some of the maple syrup we tapped and Garrison eats to be polite. He wonders why he is being photographed. Just moments later the girls hollered, “April Fools!” Sam’s stomach underwent miraculous healing when Emily told him she had put a bit of green food coloring in the pan.
