Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Psalm 127:3-5

The Ride

It was a while ago already, but we went on a grand bike ride a few weeks ago on the Cannon Valley trail.
Here are some of the expectant faces during prep time. Sam listening in on the trailing meeting.Char and his contagious grinSorry Gar, I love this face...:)Grandma having just had a tire filled by Ben...Ben, our official trip mechanic problem solver...
And we hit the trail!!!
It was supposed to rain, but we never felt a drop, and the cool weather was perfect.

We left Cannon Falls around 9:00, rode the 21 miles to Red Wing before 3:00. It was wonderful to ride through such scenery and know that you didn't have to get anywhere in a hurry.

We were able to enjoy each other and the breathtaking creation around us.

This was a bald eagle with her eaglet. It was hard to get a shot of her because she was so far up and the baby kept moving. I am finding one of the difficulties with a camera is the often illusive nature of the adorable.
