Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Psalm 127:3-5

Not our "Baby" anymore

Another birthday in the Lenz household...

Sam, our youngest arrow, is twelve. He is a maturing into a young man now, but he still has those dimples that peek out when he smiles (which is a regular event). One of the reasons he got the nick-name "Winkie."

A Debut!...

The Lenz boys quartet performed in public for the first time yesterday. Left to right Charlie (oboe), Garrison (cello), Sam (viola), Ben (violin). They did a wonderful job with a Bouree from Handel's Water Music. The most impressive part, however was their bow at the end...it was perfectly timed! :)

They haven't thought of a name for themselves yet. In fact, the Lenz trio really hasn't either. If anyone has a suggestion for us to consider, let us know!

For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Isaiah 55:12

Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the LORD.
Psalm 96:12-13a
And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the LORD, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the LORD, have spoken and have done it.”
Ezekiel 17:24

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life...Proverbs 11:30

Yes, Tomato Season is almost over...

don't you think this would make a great story? Maybe a short film...or a documentary..."Life on our farm was never the same after the great tomato harvest."
Yes, we are very excited, but there are still tomatoes on those vines. I think it will take heavy frost to wipe them out...they may even survive that! No comment. :)

Why the Chicken Crossed the road...

...well to be honest, the farmer put her on the wrong side,
...so she just followed the directions. :)
